A few days ago, I read this post on the Suburban Jungle I Never Regretted a Run the author talks about her new mottoMSG_6386 that helps motivate her to get out there and run when she really doesn’t want to. She just remembers that no matter how much she did not want to do it, or how much it hurts while she’s doing it, she never regretted going for that run when it is done. I am not really a runner, but I can agree with her that I have never gone for a bike ride or put in a work out and regretted it when I was done. Even if I was sore, the next day the accomplishment and knowing I got there still made the hurt feel good. I even expanded this thought to include food I have never regretted eating a salad or skipping a dessert.

This is such a great concept and oh so true that I had to share it with my Greedy Girl readers. In all honesty, that fact is you rarely regret doing anything that’s good for you and your body. I have yet to meet that person allergic to exercise. On the other hand some things that aren’t so good for us, I know we’ve regretted and sometimes agonized over it. I have felt sluggish when I skipped a few workouts, and I do feel guilty when I eat that chocolate sundae.  So the question is why do we keep doing what makes us feel bad when it is so easy to do go. Well I do not think we will ever find the underlying cause of that question or completely stop doing bad things. But we can join Suburban Jungle and adopt a new motto “ I never regretted………” you fill in the blank what have you never regretted?

  1. I’m so glad you like exercising because I really hate it. I don’t regret doing it until the next day when I can’t hardly move.

  2. I try to get out there and at least move around every day. Lately, Hubby and I have been taking the dogs to the dog park in the morning, which is good for all 4 of us! Stopping by from SITS…Happy Thursday!

  3. This is a great post. Thanks or the link back. :) I’ve also never regretted giving a hug. :)
